Every bag we sell is inspected and graded by our team before being listed, so you know exactly what to expect before you buy. This page explains our grading system and how it’s applied.
1. How Grading Works
Each item is assessed by our authentication and quality control team, examining:
- Exterior leather/material (corners, handles, base, hardware)
- Interior lining
- Hardware (zippers, clasps, feet, logo plates) for tarnishing or wear
- Overall structure and shape retention
- Presence of original accessories (dust bag, box, straps, locks, keys, cards, receipts if available)
- Odors (smoke, perfume, mustiness)
Each bag’s individual condition report, including close-up photos, is published on its product page alongside its grade.
2. Grading Scale
New / Unworn Item is unused, with all original tags and protective packaging intact. No signs of wear.
Excellent Gently used with little to no visible signs of wear. May show extremely minor signs of handling only visible on close inspection. Hardware fully intact, no discoloration.
Very Good Used with light, normal signs of wear — such as minor corner rubbing, faint handle marks, or very light surface scratches. No structural damage, stains, or odors. Fully functional hardware.
Good Visibly used, with moderate signs of wear consistent with regular use — such as noticeable corner wear, handle darkening, small scuffs, or minor hardware tarnishing. Fully functional, structurally sound, and free of major stains, tears, or odors.
Fair Well-used, with clear signs of wear such as noticeable scuffing, color fading, hardware tarnishing, or minor repairs previously carried out. Still structurally functional and usable. Any significant flaws are disclosed and photographed individually on the listing.
